    61. The escort laws are to prevent people down on their luck from doing that because they "have no other options" that also includes parents in very poor areas making their 16-17yo kids lie about their ages in those situations just so they can make rent. Unfortunately wording it in a way that isn't a total ban could easily be considered discrimination due to reasons like age or financial status.

There was this kid that would bash his head into the bus window while cackling madly. He'd also constantly try and lick me , id tell him to stop then he'd start back up a minute later, for that whole school year it just became a neverending cycle of pushing him away and literally holding him back the whole bus ride home, I got yelled at when I tried to sit in a different seat. We were on a short bus and half the seats were empty. I was being punished by the angry driver by being put in the front seat with that kid. What was I in trouble for? Complaining about the sensory overload of the short bus... because I was special needs and the whole bus REAKED like that fresh weirdly sweet chemical smelling plastic and there was this kid that would just SCREAM. That on top of the kid literally trying to push himself on top of me and force his tongue in my mouth for half an hour EVERY DAY for that whole school year and id have really bad panic attacks from it all...the panic attacks were the reason I was on that bus to start with.

Oh and that kid had the worst case of lobotomy doll face id ever seen, his parents had him on something that reduced him to a doll that sometimes tried to assault people. I still struggle with internalized ableism because of him . I wonder if he was even human anymore and if it was cruel torture not just letting his body rest.

Compulsive scab picking and such can be a sign of stuff like depression and anxiety, and to some degree can be a thing with ADHD or autism, where the texture feels wrong so you try to get it off. For anxiety and depression, it usually comes from needing some kind of physical input to stop thoughts, so many turn to picking scabs so they don't harm themselves worse

Me and two of my friends were in a Spanish class together (we 3 were actually the only students in that class for that period and the only ones in my grade to take Spanish). Sometimes after we learned new Spanish words like pineapple (la pina) we would call other students random Spanish nouns, it was very fun watching them get confused.

Mine: My friend and I were in a sketchy town in the mountains... had probably been prosperous years ago... after dark. We had gone to a concert there, and we were starving when we left. We found a McDonald's and went through the drive-through, but she insisted on parking to eat. As we sit there, a very obvious drug deal happens in the parking lot. The dealer then starts stomping toward us while reaching into his pocket. I start yelling that we need to go NOW, and she starts whining that she still hasn't eaten her fries. I damned near smacked her and turned the car on myself. She finally backed out before he could do anything else, and we took off. She apparently had no idea that we were in a bad area, and definitely had no idea a drug deal had just taken place. Oblivious to everything 🤦‍♀️

When my oldest son was in high school, he had it bad for a girl that friend zoned him hard. She got knocked up to some dumb ass that "couldn't" handle being a teenage dad. Well all of a sudden, my son, who is going into the military becomes the love of this girl's life (go figure.) When the child is a few months old, my son comes to me and asks what I think of him marrying her. I had to tell the boy the truth, it went something like, "son isn't she the girl you pursued for years and she didn't have the time of day for you? She then gets pregnant, the real father decides he can't handle being a dad, then you become the love of her life? Son, I have to be honest, she wants you now because you have a future and if she sticks with the real dad, she'll be getting pennies and zero physical support from this guy. See where I'm going with this?" He is still upset with me and is still married to her some 15 years later.... Good for him. I guess, he's happy being a white knight.

That background footage was freaking me out more than the stories in the video (the ones I've heard so far, I'm only seven minutes into the video). The background footage is pretty close to the kind of dream that you half-control, where you cramp up to e.g. try to stop a wheel or pendulum, just for it to go even faster the other way. And I felt my legs cramping up whenever that dang ball didn't get pushed down when my subconcious wanted it to, or when it almost got stuck somewhere and I tried to lift it up with my will power, fully knowing that my thoughts will not have any effect on the video. I couldn't even listen fully!

I was an IEP kid and let me tell you there are some very interesting people in that program. I remember in particular we have one girl that everyone in the actual group of kids would call Miss psycho, and not to be mean. She once punched our pregnant teacher in the belly trying to cause a miscarriage; another time she ran off with the wheelchair of our one-legged teacher's aide because she thought it would be funny to watch him hobble after it. And if she got mad her fits were so bad that the teachers weren't even allowed to handle them anymore they had to call the resource officer that was stationed at the school to handle it. The last time I saw her was after my school locked her in one of what they called The quiet rooms which was basically just a closet for the kids that they didn't know how to handle. It had a small window that you couldn't see through a desk that was screwed to the wall and if you were lucky a chair, she was not though. I was actually in the room next door to her at this time because I had argued with the teacher earlier in the day because they were wrong on something they were teaching us and refused to admit it but I had a chair. It was right after lunch time and surprisingly the secretaries had remembered our food this time. This meant she had a tray screwed on desk and the window. She use the tray to break the window then open the door from the outside which is the only way you could open the door. After she was free she decided to open my door to free me, which was honestly quite surprising, before going to the secretarial desk and holding one of the secretaries at glass point. I stayed in my closet for the hour long stand off that ensued. The resource officer eventually got the upper hand and she was taken out in cuffs screaming she would quote "blow this building sky high." Another boy broke one of the other windows using his head the next year and was apparently laughing when the paramedics arrived. I think part of the reason we all went insane in those rooms at some point or another but it's basically a 10 by 10 closet where they could shut the lights off to quote "keep us calm". Many of us spent most of the year in those. It was basically like giving students solitary confinement for a very small crimes.

Not an incident for everybody, i think just for me, but one time in PE i saw my classmates do a cool football trick. I thought "wow, that's so cool, i think i can do it too!". First time was a success, i managed to get it done. Second time, i fall somewhat strangely, on my arm, rush to the school medics, they say "we can't do nothin about it, we don't have the equipment, but here's some ice to help". We never did go to the hospital, but my mom worked as a medic during the Second Karabakh war (october-november 2020, Armenia vs Azerbaijan, sadly, the latter won), so she knew some tricks to check wether or not i broke my arm. We checked, i could move my fingers, so we determined that i didn't break my arm, but i couldn't write with it for 3-4 months.

Anyways STEP 2: Prepare Preheat oven to 350oF (175o C). Melt butter in the microwave or on the stovetop. Lightly grease a 9x13 baking dish with the paper from the butter. STEP 3: Measure It's a real time saver to measure everything before you get started. So get out that scale and a couple bowls, and let's get everything ready! Turn on your scale, and place the bowl for your sugar on it. Tare the scale so it reads 0g. Pour in the sugar until it reaches 600g. Repeat for the flour and cocoa. You can tare the scale again after adding the flour and before adding the cocoa, but I just added the numbers together to get the weight I'd need. Whisk flour and cocoa together with soda and salt. See, you never need to dirty up measuring cups again! STEP 4: Add Butter to Sugar Combine the melted butter, sugar, and vanilla in a large bowl. Mix! STEP 5: Add Eggs Beat in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each, until thoroughly blended. STEP 6: Add Flour Mixture Gradually stir in the flour and cocoa mixture on low speed. STEP 7: Choclify Toss the chocolate chips in a light dusting of flour, and stir into the mix with a spoon or spatula. The flour will keep them suspended in the batter and prevent them from all sinking to the bottom! STEP 8: Bake Pour into prepared pan. Spread the batter in the pan, slightly mounding on the sides so it will all bake evenly (avoiding the typical mound you get in the middle after baking). Bake for 35-40 minutes. STEP 9: Nom The brownies are done when a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. My batch initially crowned well over the pan, but later sunk back down into dense fudgey deliciousness.

In a Calculus course in college, circa 2001. Now, I'd taken Calculus in high school, but bombed on the placement test (didn't realize ahen it was scheduled and forgot to study). I mostly spent my time in class reading Lord of the Rings. Anyway, we had weekly online quizzes you had to take in the school's dedicated math computer lab. While they were Calc, they were just multiple choice (A, B. C, or D). The teacher warned us that, even though we had unlimited tries for these weekly quizzes, we couldn't just keep taking the tests over and over until we had all the answers. She said she had too many potential questions for the quiz to select from for that to work. *She was wrong.* I got very lazy and would take and retake the quizzes a dozen or two dozen times to brute force it. No, this did *not* help my understanding of Calculus and I paid for being lazy and cocky later.

Raised in Mormonism till I was 14 when my family finally left. The temple is where all the cult stuff happens I was only in long enough that I was able to participate in baptism of the dead when you walk it it’s eerie the quietness overtakes you in an uncomfortable way. The baptism of the dead part they baptize like 5 dead people per person so you get dunked so many times I thought I was going to drown fr. Also they gave me marble when I walked in???? That I had to hand to other people ???? That was weird. I’m 23 now the mormons still come to our house to try and talk to us cuz my parents haven’t bothered to remove our records so they still have our address. My mom indulges cuz she loves to yap but the rest of us don’t.

I just started a full on German conversation with him explaining about our school trip. I was trying to figure out afterwards where I even found the words to speak German. I did have German class, but I never actually spoke German to someone from German so most of the time I could just make dutch (I'm from the Netherlands) sound like German and Dutch people would understand. I'm still surprised at that conversation😅

The "make sure to let them know you're not laughing at them" is important. I've always had issues with saying certain things, expressing my feelings etc. There is just this constant fear of saying sonmmething wrong even when I'm sure it's not wrong. (My parents are great btw. I guess I was just a pretty sensitive child and said stuff that was "wrong" because I didn't know better (like any child does) and they laughed it off and corrected me and didn't think much of it, but I guess it messed me up a little 😅)

@@Brambleclaw01 I think he just demands it, not calls it out. Although I have only watched the first ten minutes so far.
